A FEW STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Before you
take a seat.
Useful details about the concept, the tools and what is genuinely happening.
Is this a real barbershop?
No. Sideburn Society is a fictional website concept. The people, interiors, products, prices and availability are illustrative. No real address or operator has been verified.
Does the appointment tool book anything?
No. It prepares a local draft with a ritual, barber, date, sample time and your selected looks. No barber is contacted and no calendar is changed.
What should I bring to a consultation?
A few references and an honest idea of your daily styling time are helpful. Say what you like about a picture: its shape, length, texture or beard outline. You do not need to know barber terminology.
Is the finder AI or a face scan?
Neither. It compares your choices with six authored style profiles using visible weighted rules. Texture and length matter most. Suggestions are aesthetic starting points, not an assessment of health or attractiveness.
Can I change the beard shown in a look?
Always. The beard preference in the finder overrides the reference image. A haircut can work with a clean shave, stubble, a moustache or a different beard shape.
Why are some times missing?
The example schedule excludes Sunday and Monday, synthetic busy periods and slots too short for your ritual. Changing the service, date or barber clears the old time so the draft stays consistent.
Can I buy the products?
No. You can explore product concepts, choose a size, fill a local bag and prepare an illustrative collection receipt. There is no payment, shipping, stock or real order.
Where are my choices stored?
In this browser’s local storage when available. There is no account or cloud sync. Another browser will not have them. Privacy & demo includes a clear control; downloads contain only your current draft or example receipt.
Is the venue accessible?
No real venue is specified, so step-free access, seating, bathrooms and other facilities are unknown. A real operator must verify these before an operational launch.
Are the grooming notes medical advice?
No. They discuss appearance and styling only. No skin diagnosis, treatment or product-safety claim is provided. Ingredient lists and real professional advice would be needed before actual use.
